I grew up in Monterey California, where as a teenager, I crewed on the local party boats in the late seventies and early eighties. I worked for several years on various commercial boats fishing along the California coast for salmon, albacore, rockfish, halibut, crabs, etc.

In 1989, I moved to Bodega Bay with my wife and newborn son to work on the sport fishing boats here. As crew, then as Captain, I have fished the ocean off our coast every year since and enjoy sharing the experience with my clients. In the spring of 2006 I partnered with Ed Liebig to run charters on his Miss Anita, a 27’ Shamrock. We had a great year, taking four-person charters each weekend through one of the best salmon trolling seasons ever. Ed and I decided to upgrade to a larger vessel, so we could carry six passengers in style and comfort. We soon found the boat we were looking for. The new Miss Anita is a 34-foot King Cat. I think we have raised the bar for fish-ability, comfort, and customer service in the local charter fleet.
